WHO IS ANPI ?

The purpose of ANPI is to promote measures, means and techniques aimed at fire and theft prevention as well as the protection of people and properties. ANPI's activities cover five main areas: regulation, information, laboratories, inspections, certification. Contact Routing

Key player in the fields of fire and theft prevention ANPI (National Organisation for fire and theft fighting formerly National Fire and Intrusion Protection Association)is a non-profit organization founded as an initiative of the Belgian insurance companies, associated through the Union professionnelle des entreprises d?assurances (the Professional Union of Insurance Companies, formerly known as UPEA, now Assuralia). Nowadays, all professional associations and associations of industry interested in the fields of fire and theft prevention are members of ANPI. Public authorities are also represented within ANPI. The purpose of ANPI is to promote its activities through its 5 Divisions: Division Regulation and Standardization ANPI, sector operator, collaborates with the authorities in preparing legal prescriptions on matters regarding prevention and protection against fire and intrusion. Owing to the large experience feedback of the Divisions Laboratories and Inspection, ANPI is a player with high added value in commissions and work groups set up by national, European, and international standardization organizations. Division Information ANPI wants to be a permanent information tool for the safety professionals. The Department Publications publishes prevention leaflets and proposes a warning service. Via its website and by means of three subscription options, the documentation centre also proposes on line a large collection of legal documents, articles and technical surveys in the field of fire and theft prevention and protection. The ANPI library manages a large collection of books, periodicals, legal documents and standards, either in printed or digital version. ANPI also actively collaborates in the redaction of the "FireForum Magazine" specialized in fire prevention and protection, published in partnership with Agoria and the Belgian Fire Brigade Federations BVV and FRCSPB. Information: Tel.: +32 10 47 52 42 (publications and sales) - +32 10 47 52 31 (library) Fax: +32 10 47 52 70 Division Laboratories The ANPI laboratories, accredited EN ISO/IEC 17025 by BELAC, carry out tests on fire protection equipment, ??building?? and ??vehicle?? theft equipment, safe value protection equipment and electrical products in general. Functional tests, electromagnetic compatibility tests, electrical security tests and climatic and mechanical environmental tests are carried out in compliance with national and international standards and regulations. Information: Tel.: +32 10 47 52 87 Fax: +32 10 47 52 67 Division Inspections The Division Inspection of ANPI, accredited EN 17020 by BELAC, performs on-site commissioning of fire and intrusion protection installations as well as their regular inspections. It also carries out technical or administrative audits in conformity with all known references and in accordance with the particular specifications of the applicant. Owing to its great expertise, it can make a diagnosis that offers the best return on investment for an optimal risk management. It works in close collaboration with the industry sector and, as a consequence, is able to proceed to a thorough adaptation of the content of the controls with regard to the newest technologies and local regulations and specifications (Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). It is also acknowledged by the European Commission as Notified Body under the terms of the Construction Products Directive, the Low Tension Directive and the EMC Directive.
