Inspection body ANPI has an inspection body accredited by BELAC to perform inspections in the field of fire and intrusion prevention. That accreditation, with reference number 03-INSP, is delivered by the Federal Public Service Economy, SMEs, Self-Employed and Energy in conformity with the standard ISO/CEI 17020. This standard replaces the harmonised European standard EN 45004. It means that ANPI has an independent, impartial and upright inspection body with competent and experienced inspectors, who have to observe confidentiality rules. The inspection body of ANPI performs controls and inspections of fire protection installations (FID) and protection systems against intrusion in buildings (TID) and in vehicles (TID/CIS). In the field of fire protection, the Fire Inspections Department (FID) of the division Technologies carries out inspections and tests on the following systems: - fire alarm and detection systems, - automatic extinguishing systems, - non automatic extinguishing systems and extinction devices. The application for inspection of the installations is submitted either by the owner of the installation or by the design and engineering office, the installer or a third body (for example Assuralia).
