Venues - European Notification
In the framework of the single market, a procedure requires Member States to notify the Commission of all draft technical regulations in order to ensure that the texts are compatible with European regulations and the principles of the single market.
Belgium has notified a draft decree of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region laying down operating conditions for theatres, cinema complexes, theatres, opera houses, music halls, party halls, discotheques and concert halls.
This regional sectoral decree is based on the ordinance of 5 June 1997 on environmental permits. Operators of halls subject to environmental permits must comply with the operating conditions set out in the decree.
