Since the introduction of the new camera declaration system in 2018, the regulations include the obligation to validate these declarations annually.
Last year, camera owners submitted one (or more) surveillance camera declarations via the application www.declarationcamera.be.
As foreseen by the regulation, camera owners must keep their declarations up to date. Even if their camera surveillance system has not been modified, they are obliged to validate their declaration annually. This ensures that their declaration is always correct and up to date. If they do not validate, their data may be considered invalid and deleted from the database.
