The use of a flashing light will be tested by firefighters travelling to the fire station in their private cars for an emergency response. These lights enable them to be identified by other road users.
A few weeks ago, an 8-month pilot project began, during which the Vias Institute (in collaboration with the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport) will be studying the effect of this beacon during commute time and the impact on volunteer firefighters' sense of safety. 4 rescue zones have been selected to participate in this test.
