The certification of specialised companies aims to guarantee the quality of fire and intrusion protection installations.
Through different audits, the certification of these companies is used to verify the ability of candidate companies to have competent customer service support, maintenance and repair organisation, available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The certified company must be able to establish or to have someone establish directives for maintenance and repairs. These directives contain the maintenance and/or operation procedure, at the very least.
For specialised companies to certify their products and systems, the certification procedure takes place over 7 stages (as per ISO IEC 17065):
1° Initial Assessment of the Certification request file submitted by the requester (customer);
2° Initial Assessment of the compliance of the company and its services with normative reference documents through audits (on the administration at the company's head office and on technical installations conducted or services provided);
4° Review and assessment of the certification file;
5° Decision and awarding of the certificate;
6° Periodic monitoring audits
7° Maintenance, suspension or withdrawal of the certificate.
