Extinguishing media include foam concentrates, liquids, powders or gases which are used to obtain a much better fire extinguishing performance than water. These media can be used in foam sprinkler systems, emergency vehicles or portable or mobile extinguishers.
These media are therefore essential for effective firefighting. Unfortunately, sampling conducted regularly by ANPI in recent years show that the extinguishing media installed on sites for fire protection are often poor quality or past their expiration date.
There is no legislation imposing a minimum performance level for these media.
That is why their ANPI certification according to technical note NTN 161 remains the benchmark for guaranteeing performance.
The ANPI Certification Division certifies extinguishing media.
