We have been telling you about it for a long time...

The Directorate-General for Civil Security - Fire Prevention is sharing on its website this pre-publication of the Royal Decree of 7 July 1994 laying down the basic fire and explosion prevention standards that buildings must meet, which will be amended very shortly.
This draft includes various adaptations of the provisions relating to fire protection for new buildings to be constructed, and in particular an extensive adaptation of the provisions relating to fire protection for facades, car parks, boiler rooms and lifts installed in buildings.

The text should be published in the Belgian Official Gazette before 1 March 2022, so that there is at least four months between its publication and its entry into force on 1 July 2022.
