Attention... some INCERT certificates expire in 2020!

The INCERT label, often required for theft insurance cover, is a guarantee of quality in the world of electronic security.

Technical committees within the Belgian Electrotechnical Committee (CEB) define the quality requirements for products (CEB-BEC INCERT Technical Committee/WG 2) and security companies (CEB-BEC INCERT Technical Committee/WG 1). These technical committees continuously and critically follow the technological development of security equipment. They are the basis for the drafting of "technical notices" which serve as reference documents for the certification of services and products.

The certification of security products, as well as that of companies, is only ever granted for a limited period.
For security companies, the authorisation to bear the INCERT mark results from a certification of their compliance with the "Security company certification regulations" and the realisation of the installations in accordance with the technical notice T 015/2, published by the CEB.
For the products, the authorisation to bear the INCERT mark results from a certification of their conformity to the technical notices T 014 or T 014A of the CEB. It is precisely these certificates that expire at the end of 2020.

As 28 December 2020 approaches, products can no longer be certified on the basis of the T 014/T 014A technical notices; they must be re-certified.

In practice, from 2021 onwards, there will only be 3 ways to obtain the new INCERT "Products" certificates:

CertificationBenchmarkNote
INCERTT 031According to EN 50131 or EN 50136 + Belgian layer
INCERTT 034For enclosures and junction boxes
INCERTT 033
(Belgian layer only)
This certification must be accompanied by an EN 50131 / EN 50136 certification under accreditation to obtain INCERT approval from the CEB
